    • just to clarify my point look at page 5 the right hand side black line to the right of the sig box is missing that sig info has clearly been copied and pasted by lowells on to that set of t&c's and if you look at other vanquis card CCA returns here on cag for that same set of T&C there has never been that box there anyway   Exhibit_NA1_(1).pdf

Have you ever met any other company who makes it this difficult to cancel a subscription? Probably not! Because it's a (sort of) legal grey-area. You owe them nothing. In what world does it make sense to charge a customer £90 for cancelling their (£9.99/mo) membership less than a month early? What other reputable company would do this? Nobody. This is not legally enforceable!     X4L/Harlands/CRS/Zinc are all part of the same group, and they all have absolutely zero legal power over you. They are not bailiffs. Nothing will happen to your credit and nobody will show up at your door. They will never dare take you to court, because they know that they stand no chance, but they might try to scare you. Pay no attention to this. You might get a few annoying emails/texts/phone calls, but do not answer nor reply to any of these - if you do, you're just giving them more to feed on. These people prey on vulnerable people who get fooled into thinking they're in the wrong. Ignore any and all communication with these scumbags.   Feel free to check out similar threads from 2010-2016 about X4L/Harlands/CRS/Zinc on this forum, you'll notice that every OP stopped replying after so long because these cowboys gave up on trying to steal money from them after they realised that they wouldn't budge. Their whole business is based on stealing money from innocent people. You'll be fine! Good luck. Keep us updated!    
    • looks like you still paid for ppi. {£236.03}   unravelling the crap in the letter it looks like your can make a PPI reclaim directly to welcome even though they were not GISC regulated, they are saying the underwriters were, but they cant say whom they were, but from other threads here it should be easy to work that out if needs be    so you had a loan of £2269.44 of which 236.03 was PPI   so ppi/loan*100=ppi%   236.03/2269.44*100=10.4%   so anything you paid 10.4% of it was for ppi so statint sheet time

    • Thank you for your response Eric's Brother. I have been out of the country and was told about this on my return. It is not clear yet whether the Company have paid this PCN. They have a flawed policy of paying these and asking questions later, even deducting the money from the employees wages if they don't get a response from the employee within a certain time limit. They couldn't have got a response from my daughter as she too was away on holiday which is why she lent her car to my son. I'm not sure this policy is legal ?. Anyway, I'm getting sketchy information in dribs and drabs. My son was visiting Wrexham for a one off event so is unable to get pictures of the car park signage or the ticket machine. I will get the image supplied by Parking Eye and post it up on here. Sorry for the incomplete information so far, but that's what I'm getting. Kids eh ?...no sense of urgency.

TSB overdraft - Credit default - wescot chasing

Back in December 2015 I received a letter from a credit agency (Wescot)

stating that they were chasing a TSB debt of £4762.

This came as a big surprise to me as I stopped using my TSB account about 6 years ago.

 

I moved all my payments in/direct debits/ etc to a joint bank account (I did not close the account),

so have not knowingly used the bank account since.

 

 

I then moved house, but rather stupidly did not close the account.

My only thoughts are that maybe I missed a direct debit,

or used an online account that that was linked to that bank account!!

 

I asked for statements to show how this debt had accrued, but as of yet, I've not received anything.

I contacted them again on Tuesday and was told that they are chasing them again.

Its really frustrating that over 3 months later I'm still none the wiser.

 

Whilst waiting for the statements, I got another letter from Wescot

stating that TSB are offering me a significant discount to settle the account!! is this normal?

 

If they prove I had mistakenly used the account, then I'm willing to back all monies owed,

but would be looking at getting some/most of the interest payments taken off.

 

The reason I say this is that surely TSB, when doing their annual review of accounts/overdrafts,

would have realised that the account was not in use.

 

The reason it has taken so long for them to chase me is that I had a £4.5k overdraft,

which they have let run the course until I went over it.

 

When this first came about,

I checked my credit score and it was 999.

Then a few weeks ago, they put a default on my account.

Bye bye perfect credit score.

 

I have asked them to remove this whilst the debt is in dispute, but have yet to hear anything from them.

 

They are saying that they sent a chaser letter on 12/10/15,

a final demand letter on the 12/11/2015

and a closure letter on 9th December.

 

 

Due to me moving address 6 years earlier, I did not get these.

 

Whilst I feel rather stupid for letting this happen, can anyone recommend a good course of action?

Hello and Welcome,

 

I've moved this thread to the Debt Collectors Forum, sending a Subject Access Request to TSB would let you know the score regarding charges and the last time any payment was made towards this account.

Can you provide a precise date that you last deposited/serviced the account vassagojay ?

 

I take it you never informed TSB of change of address ? Yet Wetcloths have found you ?

TSB are saying that the account was last used in Feb 2011.

 

 

I didn't inform TSB of the change of address as it had completely slipped my mind, but I still had the same phone number.

Looking at the dates, from TSB closing the account to Wescot finding my new address, was about 2 weeks.

Yet 3 months down the line, I'm none the wiser !!

Unfortunately not !

 

 

I've not acknowledged that the debt is mine yet, purely because I really do not have any idea of where it has come from.

 

 

The fact that they are offering me discounted rates before they've even provided me with proof of the debt, should put in in good stead for a reduced payment if they can show me how it has accrued.

 

 

I just feel so stupid that I may or may not have let this happen!! I should have just closed the account down.

Having the worry of having to pay £4.7k had given me many a sleepless night over the last 3 months.

Hi,

 

 

TSB finally got around to sending me statements to show how the debt had occurred (only took 6 months). It seems that I had not changed the details on my paypal account and for about 18 months all my purchases came out of my old account!! I've then basically been hit with 6 or 7 years of charges, up until it hit my original overdraft limit!!!

Is there anything I can do ? I feel rather stupid for letting it happen, but also seem quite aggrieved that TSB let this run for 6/7 years without making too much of an attempt to contact me.

 

 

They have removed the default from my credit file though (back to 999)! well for the time being.

 

 

I'm not in the position to pay this back, so what are my options? I've never had any credit problems in the past, so I'm pretty clueless.
