Customer complaints about Vodafone soared towards the end of last year, according to the latest report from UK telecoms watchdog Ofcom.

The regulator says it recorded 32 complaints for every 100,000 of the firm's pay-monthly subscribers over the last three months of the year.

That is more than double the figure for the same period in 2014, at which point Vodafone was still the most complained about network.

The company blames an IT glitch.

The actual number of frustrated customers was probably higher as Ofcom only tracks the number of people who contacted it directly and not those who only complained to Vodafone itself.

And of course the number is much higher than the ombudsman has recorded – and it is probably very much higher than anyone can possibly imagine.

Vodafone is competing with npower for the worst possible systems and the worst possible customer service.

Anyone considering getting a new mobile phone contract would do well to avoid Vodafone.

Count me in again, today Vodafone failed to port my number correctly.

Calls can be made from the device, but cant be made to the device or data sessions.

Add on top of that the 4 months of billing issues, misinformation and the fact that they claimed i owe £12k and im fed up...

Its amazing isnt it... Bunch of idiots.... TBPH... Thats not an IT glitch.... thats just Chaos.

Vodafone royally messed up the account, its still ongoing, they even tried to temp me with a 30% discount off £12xxx but it had to be paid in 12 months, and even better than that - Monthly payment would have been £710....

Still ongoing, and im waiting for the DCA - preferably Lowell to come knocking.... They are in for a shock....

Thats a terrible offer. I'd offer you a 50% discount off £12k you didnt owe me provided you payed it monthly over 12 months.

On a more constructive note.

Serves you right for setting a terrible example by being a customer-victim of them fkofilee.

You of all people have no excuse for being a customer of theirs do you?

You'll be telling us you are an Npower customer next.

Shame on you.

Its been a few years since I had those Oh so common issues with them, so I think real change, like with npower, VM, or three is sadly extremely unlikely.
