Hello,

I'm just looking for a little advice on Brighthouse.

I'm a customer with them but I'm continually receiving text messages to my phone

even though I've asked them to stop in the store

and last week to customer services as the store just kept saying they are automated

and they can't do anything about it.

I've been getting them since the start of the year and sometimes can be as many as 3 in a day.

some say drop in store or its your best day to pay or its your due day to pay,

its just getting a bit of a headache now and I'm so annoyed that they keep coming.

customer services said they can stop them but it will take up to a week or so for them to stop.

Are they allowed to harrass me by text messaging like this please.

you should be able to change your number online at their website under your account details??????

how long you been wit them?

any insurances to reclaim that were forced upon you?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If you are not in arrears then they shouldn't be texting. They will claim theyt are "reminders" to help you keep your account in credit, change your number as suggested, look at any insurances etc to reclaim.

If you do put a ficticious number in, that might well belong to someone, who will then have a nightmare sorting BH for txts regarding an account they don't have.

We could do with some help from you.

Get a free PAYG SIM (or a £1 one from a pound store if you are in a hurry!). Use that PAYG number, and don't use / register that SIM

No one will have to put up with those texts.

(The number will get recycled and assigned to someone eventually, but not for many years ..... and any number not in actual use is subject to this).

And make sure to report them for continuous harassment and straight up refusing to do anything to stop it

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Another brighthouse victim, you were never their customer, you're just another commodity of theirs to exploit.

You need to make a formal complaint to them, in writing, keep a diary of events regarding their criminal harassment with a view of reporting them for said criminal offence of harassment, it matters not if you have told them in store to stop, and it matters not what lame excuse they use in an attempt to justify their childish behaviour, if you want them to stop corresponding with you in this way, then stop it they have to.

Report them to the ICO and Ofcom for the misuse of the communications network, a vile specious company who employ morally bankrupt individuals to prey on the most vulnerable in society.

Hammer their complaints procedure and exhaust it, if like DX said, you have any of their fake insurances then reclaim them, with interest.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Jason, stop fobbing people off. Theres no reason why they should even get all these texts. You know its unlawful and amounts to harassment. And dont go saying its helpful or a one off. You know it isnt, and its a major part of your business practice to intimidate vulnerable customers into submission.

Brighthouse = spin off of Mores's club/Alexandre Sloan (GUS), Blundells - BUT worse!

Good old rip off merchants, Morses GUS et al.

Goods that cost three times or more real price once added "extras" are factored in with the already overpriced item and eye watering interest.

However other organisations including utilities have taken to using the "Reminder Text" as an MO.

We could do with some help from you.
