Hi,

I'm looking for some advice.

My younger brother defaulted on a vodafone contract 2 years ago, he's got his life together now and is trying to fix his personal finances. He's now totally debt free however the default on his creddit report is stopping him from doing almost anything, like getting a small overdraft to protect against fee's etc.

Are there any channels to go down with vodafone to discuss getting this lifted?

Thanks foe reading.

Sadly Vodafone would rather stick pins in their eyes than remove a default marker - so it looks like your brother is going to have this on his file for the full 6 years.

Has his bank specifically said this default is preventing them from letting him have a small overdraft ? If he has been keeping his bank account in good order for a while, then perhaps a word with the Bank Manager might help ?

Hi and welcome to CAG.

I'm afraid I have to agree with CitizenB. So long as the default showed information that was correct at the time, it stays.

The only thing I can think of doing is adding a notice of correction to explain what happened. This can be up to 200 words.
