G24 - private parking 'fine' for being over minutes - could anyone help?

Hi,

I’m new to the forum and I’m looking for advice,

 

 

I parked in a supermarket car park which has a 2 hour limit on it,

and i have received a fine today through the post

stating that i was over the 2 hours free parking by 12 minutes,

 

 

the fine is £50 which is a lot of money for me at the moment.

 

 

I genuinely didn’t realise I had been over 2 hours.

 

 

I was hoping someone would have any idea on whether I could get around this problem;

 

 

I mean it was only 12 minutes.

 

I would be really thankful if someone would have any advice, thank you.

It is likely that this is a PARKING charge rather than a penalty charge. Can you confirm.

 

Also, was this a windscreen ticket or a letter in the post

 

Can you name the store and the name of the parking company.

as 12 minutes is a precise amount of time we presume that you got a letter through the post as a result of an ANPR camera monitoring of the entrance and exit to the car park.

Tell us who the company is, the date of the event and the date you got the letter. All these things are just a start but they are vital so we know how to progress this properly.

Knowing where the parking was would help as defeating that claim may have several stages.

I was in a B&M, the contractual parking charge notice came from G24 in the post. Event happened on the 21st and Issue Date was the 29th.

I have seen some of the signs used at B & M and G24. Can you photograph the signs. This is one I have

If the sign is the same as the one above then you are home and dry. They dont have a maximum permitted time, just a no return within time.

It is therfore impossible to overstay. simples...
