If you put an application online

surely the same info is given to get you to tick that particular area of a form

yet one of the big banks is saying that they dont have to pay anything as it was completed online.

Can someone let us know if this is true.

You can be misled online as well as person to person dont you think

Hello about 4 years ago and I filled out one of those forms from Which online questionnaires which I think is similar to the FOS

Can I also add that even online I looked up what ppi was as I wouldnt have known and they info given online would have advised the same thing as if they were there

PPI was unsuitable for all but a very small amount of people.. I notice they are trying to impose a 2 year deadline for claims… I have had several loans with HSBC going back 30 years… I still have some paperwork from the late 1980s for a home owner loan for which the PPI was £10 per month… They are stalling, but I am going to keep trying as this could amount to a tidy sum if successful. Hi makeitbetter, just for your reference, I filled in the online Barclays Application Form about a month a ago regarding PPI on an Egg card they had bought. Within 11 days I had received an acknowledgement letter, then an offer letter, then a cheque for £184. The original PPI payment was only £29.94 spread over the first four card repayments so not a bad result. That was an online application originally.
