I've just started to file my claim against the Halifax with HMCS online and have got to the box where I add the 'particulars of claim' and I've hit a bit of a brick wall lol

You are only allowed 1080 characters on 24 lines for this part.

Anyone got any ideas how I can trim down the hard copy I've found in the templates section? Or better yet, tell me what you've written!

I've managed to get it down to 1073 so far, now I'm stuck lol

Surely 1073 characters will fit if the limit is 1080...?

Take away spaces when you can e.g. sch. 2 (1) (e) becomes sch.2(1)(e) = 3spaces. Take out any unnecessary comments, or ones that can be shortened with simple english. Keep fixed text re: interest at 8% para. though. I also found that the form threw in spaces as well, check you lines, sometimes it adds spaces, it takes time to check by deleting spaces at the end of each line, sometimes adding back in. It does take time I'm afraid. What I ended up doing was saving it and copying to word and pasting back in when done (using Tools - Word Count - Characers with spaces to check)

Also to save space, put dates in dd.mm.yy format.
