I had a hceo turn up at my door tonight from Marstons called Mr B,

I asked him for identification in which he did not show me , he shouted so my whole grove could here he is hceo for mr H , I asked him again for identification in which he still would not show

I refused to open my door to him as he could of been anyone as I'm a chronic disabled patient and have many health issues , he then proceeded to tell me he would come back with police and break our door down to remove goods

I did say to him I would pay the money off at £5 per week as we are on benefits my husband is my main carer and cannot work , he also has to make sure our daughter is sorted , Fed and ready for bed ,

he then got right in my face (I have witnesses to this ) bearing in mind he was a lot taller than me he said nope he wants all the money now , or he will be bringing police and locksmith at 6am to remove the goods .. now myself and my daughter are afraid to sleep

Can u please help who I would report him to

Thanks for reading

Do you know if he was wearing a video camera?

Please would you email your contact details and a reference number to us at our admin address as we may be able to get someone to look at this.

We are unlikely to be able to help with any money repayment demands - but on the question of behaviour, we may be able to get someone to see what happened.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to CAG.

I've started a new thread for you, as you posted on an old one. Please continue to post on this one. :)

Please tell us more about what's happened. You seem to think you owe the money, why do you owe it please?

It's unlikely the guy can break the door down, tell us more and the guys can advise you.

My best, HB

In order to give you accurate advice, it would help if you could please post back to let us have some background information.

Firstly, what type of debt was the enforcement agent attempting to enforce...was it an unpaid court fine, penalty charge notice or even council tax?

How much was he requesting?

If it was a court fine, is the debt in your name or your husband's?

Did you receive a summons?

Did you respond to the summons to plead guilty or not guilty?

Did you complete the attached Means Enquiry Form?

Did you make any payments to the court (if so, how much).

Lastly, before getting to the very late stage of a personal visit, you should have received TWO letters as follows:

The first letter would be from the Magistrate Court called a Further Steps Notice. This is the final notice form the court to advise that a warrant will be issued after a period of 10 days unless payment is made.

Following this notice Marston would have sent a Notice of Enforcement. This is a vitally important document and as long as contact is made with the company before the cut off date given in the letter a payment proposal can be accepted.

Did you receive any letters from the court?

Did you contact Marston's on receipt of the Notice of Enforcement?

Unless it is a court fine like TV Licence etc he cannot come with a copper and kick the door down, or have a locksmith drill the locks.

We could do with some help from you.
