How did you pay them?

I paid them for a couple months via Monthly Standing Orders which i set up,

this was after the Debt Management Company I used folded,

I then stopped paying all of them recently ...

I have just received a true copy of my original CCA from Halifax, back dating to 2001,

so will now need to sort a repayment offer with them :)

They are the only 1 from 5 to provide thus far, so tbh i still had a great result :)

Now you know why CAG exists. Better late than never.

Just imagine all that money you paid out for nothing. I bet they had a great Xmas do with it all!!

This is very true,

i assumed info from a company like StepChange would be best i would get,

not a mention or suggestion of doing CCA's came from them :(

Sometimes their hands are tied to give certain aspects of advice

and as I say CAG was a blessing in disguise when i read what people were saying about making CCA requests :)

I received a copy of the Terms and Conditions with a true copy of my CCA for an account that back dates to 2001, it was suggested I upload the terms and conditions received, just so they can be verified are correct!

I would appreciate verification of these terms and conditions provided, and they fall into line with an old 2001 account!

Truly appreciate any help :)

Any advice truly appreciated, many thanks!

Is that it? Just that one side of A4 from December 2000?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Yes Bazooka, the copy of CCA deffo correct and no point in upping all the statements they correct too, the T&C's i was not 100% on.. yet the date of T&C's seems to relate to just before account was opened, so seem correct to me !

Hi dx,

I would need to edit all the info out of it on reading the sites advice, and i know the Signature and date on the CCA is definately mine and dated correctly, also all the Employment info is definately correct!

Is there any sense in me deleting all the info just so the CCA can be viewed?

Thank you for your kind help, truly appreciated.

this is not an enforceable cca return..

its def not a 2 sided document.

as it should be

the T&C do not hold your name either.

Hi dx,

Yes Pra i sent CCA request to that is correct

I assumed as had my signature and the Consumer Credit Act Note was there, that formed an official CCA.

After reading your kind reply i gather it obviously does not meet the criteria expected :)

I Googled a few images of CCA's and saw a lot of 1 page A4 images, so assumed it must be in order,

it is the only CCA reply i have received from the 5 original requests I made thus far,

so I have no previous experience with what i should have expected,

i thought as the date on the page was correct and my signature was there, it constituted a copy of agreement :O

PRA also enclosed a letter stating ...

I have enclosed copy documents as requested.

Please contact our office with 10 days of receipt of this letter, where an advisor will be able to assist you.

Our fully trained advisors will discuss your account further with you and help you come to a mutually acceptable agreement in order to settle your outstanding balance.

What do you suggest should be my next move?

Truly appreciate all the help and advice.

Thank you

£4,685.51 Balance I owe according to PRA.

I have every single original Halifax Statement too .

. the account was defaulted for 6 years and that has now passed,

they delayed listing it as a default for a couple years

and Halifax had added quite a few interest charges (About £650) which miffed me,

all the other accounts I had defaulted 2 years before the Halfax defaulted,

i was paying Halifax £9.16 per month via DebtSolutions4U a Debt management Company.

I wonder why Halifax shipped it out?

no penalty charges nor PPI?

you're lucky..

but there must be a reason they sold it on

p'haps its the crap agreement

As you rightly say why ship out?

Penalty Charges about £650 .. but Halifax were very crafty and delayed defaulting account longer than any other,

Halifax added a load of interest charges before finally defaulting the account.

I can only assume maybe the crap agreement does come into play!

is the £650 say £12, £20, £25 like fixed sum charges?

and is that with their interest they caused added via our spreadsheet

The charges were monthly interest charges

they decided to start adding of just under £70 per month,

i had maintained a regular monthly repayment via a Debt Management company for 5 years,

i then learned Halifax had not defaulted the account,

the Debt Management company said it was best to discontinue monthly payments to Halifax

that way account would get defaulted and Interest charges would stop accruing,

so for a few months until they defaulted account i was paying them nothing,

all the prev years monthly payments were wiped out in afew months due to the added interest charges,

at the time i queried this with the Debt Management company

and they said sadly it will continue until they are not paid,

i could not believe this was way it worked, but at time had no reason to doubt the Debt Management company.
