Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm currently applying to rent a house and a credit check has brought up two CCJ's

one I knew about that was paid off via an attachment of earnings 2 years ago and

another I have no knowledge (it doesn't even show up on my Experian or a CCJ check I paid for).

from talking to the court and doing some digging I can see its to a company that are now defunct

(dissolved as of September 2015 according to Companies House).

The letting agent are refusing to proceed until it's cleared (if it isn't already) and I produce a satisfied statement.

I'm just not sure how I do this if the company no longer exist,

any advice?

Thanks.

Hi LipstickConspiracies and Welcome to CAG

How old is the first CCJ...as it was paid 2 years ago and is over 6 years old this need to be removed from the registry...you can inform the Trust by way of Notice witha Certificate of Satisfaction.

http://www.trustonline.org.uk/understand-judgments-fines/ccjs-and-county-courts/county-court-judgment-records-how-long-ccjs-stay-on-record

With regards to the second...who is/was the creditor? and have you checked if their judgments were assigned to another creditor.

You can check the trust for detail of the creditor and age of the Judgment...you can request copies of the Judgment from Northampton CCBC

Regards

Andy

can you also name names please

and if these are concerned with consumer credit

who was the original creditor and what was the type of credit...?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
