I dunno. It's a useful word, I think. I believe it came from African American Vernacular English (AAVE) and is derived from "disrespecting". I can't think of another word that means the same in terms of context, pretext and subtext.

 

The other one I'll defend is "like". It has a distinct meaning: it introduces a performance, rather than a simple quotation. "And I was like, 'you can't say that to me!'" It's a demonstration. Useful word.
