Would or could - as they means you have not taken the action you are mentioning.

Christmas - this is a word taken over by business to sell their merchandise, rather than about the festival to celebrate the birth of Jesus. If we replaced it with say Jesus Day, i doubt that most businesses would be happy to use it to help sell their goods.

We could do with some help from you.

I don't see why the word "Christmas" should be banned - this would play into the hands of those who have been kowtowing to other faiths .

This is a Christian Country - Christmas - Easter, etc are part of our heritage.

Perhaps pressure should be put on those who would abuse it for commercial purposes to cease.

Personally i don't like a religious festival of any kind being exploited by business to sell goods. Too many businesses now rely on Christmas sales to make a decent profit for the year.

I was not serious about banning the word Christmas. It is just a word that many people would have trouble explaining in a religious context.

Hmm.

The phrase "not fit for purpose". I know why people use it, but it's pretty hackneyed these days.

ISIS/ISIL/IS. Use "Daesh". They really don't like that.

Agree with the misuse of "literally". I suppose it should really be "figuratively" instead.

swear words, seems most people have to swear for no reason, I was told you swear because you have nothing better to say!

I also dislike baby talk, always taught my children proper words , IE: Dog, not doggy, cat , not pussy cat, bird, not dick-dick, horse, not bobo, train, not choo choo, etc

As for anklebiters. I called my KIDS and GrandKIDS rugrats (amongst other choice words)
