As others have noted : what a broad brush to tar ALL landlords with.

How do you know ALL landlords?

How do you know they ALL avoid tax or tell blatant lies?

 

I've had an excellent LL. Repairs done promptly, flat with good upkeep, and I've no reason to believe

a) they ever lied to me

b) they were fiddling (tax or otherwise)

 

As for "pecuniary advantage by deception" : you do know this offence has been repealed??

Am I to take it you created a thread & its title, and then complained that CAG had given your thread the title you posted?

 

What impression do you think that gives people?

How did this thread get created? (Did you 'hijack' someone else's thread?)

 

The site also has rules to protect it from being sued.

 

There is nothing to stop you creating your own website, posting what you like on it, and posting a link to that site on CAG. That way, you post what you like but you (rather than CAG) carry the responsibility for it.

 

Is the original thread and poster active? A link to where we can read?

 

Just to clarify - britishlebanese hijacked another cag member's thread with all of the posts that are contained in this thread. As it contributed nothing to the original thread all of his posts were moved here. There was a dispute over the thread title as it wasn't immediately clear what or who britishlebanese had an issue with.

 

The title was subsequently changed because it was correct to do so and not because of the rather bullish threat made.
