There is much excitement over the coming Star Wars film and as expected there is a new game out Star Wars Battlefront. These are the prices:

For STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ Standard is £24.99

For STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ Deluxe Edition is £54.99

And for STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ Ultimate Edition is £94.98

Are these prices fair? The game will be sold in many countries. I'm not convinced this is fair pricing and even £24 is too much. Is there any way to challenge this legitimately?

I completely appreciate the concept of take it or leave it and I generally don't pay more than £20 for games. My point is that there is clearly price pumping going on in the games industry so I am asking is there any way of challenging it apart from ranting on the web?

Sadly there is no legal route here.

Supply and demand

As long as people are willing to pay the price, they will not drop them any time soon.

I think the Gaming Industry as a whole is in the middle of a big change. Esp when you consider things like kickstarter and mobile/tablet platforms.

Whilst there are people willing or foolish to spend their money on these products then suppliers will charge what they can get!!

£24.99 is not at all unreasonable for such a big budget title, infact it's very cheap compared to recent AAA PC releases, so I'm not sure where you're coming from with claiming that it's "Too Expensive" at that price for the standard edition of the game.
