    • Thank you. You haven't told us the values of the insurance work and of the additional work. I'm afraid that your comment about her being Spanish didn't look so good in the context of the other post talking about ethnicity. I would suggest that you stay clear of this kind of talk. You say that the property is leasehold. I'm assuming that the customer is the leaseholder.  Please confirm. Have you informed the insurance company of this problem? How much of any of this – especially the quotations for the additional work is in writing?

    • Hello,   i have recently missed a DD payment to X4L and have incurred a charge from harlands of £25, which i emailed in response to advising not  to take the payment on the next DD date due as advised in the letter received.   i confirmed over the telephone this was the appropriate action to take.   fast forward a week or so later and i get another letter advising another £25 has been added to the account despite my request.   i have absolutely no issue with payment of the first charge as this is my own fault etc. however i feel like the second occasions is ridiculous as i received no correspondence to advise it would still be taken...   Is this entirely my fault or am i within my rights to not make payment of the second charge?   i have looked through many forums and each case seemed to be ever so slightly different and wanted to ask the question?   thanks!!

Hi

We are currently based in Spain and do not have all our bank statements,

a Company from Swansea called Claims Line Direct Ltd has called us (we have a uk phone number here)

and asked for 495 gbp which they guarantee to return whether they are successful on our behalf.

They claim we have approx 3500 gbp to come back but cannot guarantee that figure.

Does anybody know of this Company ?

Hi Anybody

We have been approached by a Company from Swansea called Claims Line Direct Ltd, they say we have about 3500 pounds to claim back from PPI. We have tyo send 495 pounds before to start the proceedure which they guarantee to return whether they are successful or not. Sounds dodgy to me.

Anyone have experience with this particular Company ??

Thanks

Why go down that route, even if legitimate. You can do it yourself just as well. Plenty of information on CAG and elsewhere online telling you how to go about it.

£495 upfront ! Why do they need that, if they are a successful company ? If they go out of business, any guarantee would not be worth the paper it is written on.

We could do with some help from you.

Hi Unclebulgaria

Thanks for reply, we have very few statements and we are currently living in Spain so it is more complicated we thought plus with work schedules and both our personal situation pursuing this ourselves seems difficult.

Just want to hear from people who have used this (type of) Company for experience reviews.

Thanks

You can do it yourself from Spain without any real difficulty. If you have friends back in the UK who can receive your mail for you and scan it to you so you get it quickly then it will be even easier.

You should at least start the process yourself and see if you run into any obstacles. If you do then come here for advice and if you really think you need help and you want to pay out huge amounts of money for very little work then by all means go to a claims management company.

If you find that you can do it with our help, then give us the money instead!! (We help hundreds of people with PPI and hardly any of them ever bother to give us a donation)

Hi

Just to let you know, I will be removing all the duplicate posts you have made as this is confusing.

As to this company, how would they know you have a PPI claim? They don't have any info about you. These are the 'ambulance chaser' type of claims management company who cold call and send emails to sucker people into their services.

£495???

Blimey that's a bit strong innit! Avoid at all costs is my opinion.

I did my own PPI reclaims, very simple & easy enough to do, just filled in the forms & posted them.

Total cost 15 mins of my own time & a 1st class stamp.
