Hi BB,

This is a move in the right direction but I'd be inclined to politely refuse the offer. We've dealt with many cases previously and experience suggests that BC or their Reps will settle at the full claim amount or close to it if you refuse to accept the current offer.

However, if you're happy to accept the current offer that's your prerogative.

Think it through and come back about it anytime. Maybe also read some of the BC **WON** successes threads here - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?97-Barclays-BCard-and-Woolwich-successes

:-)

Construct a written acceptance with exactly what you want to settle the matter, give a 7 day time limit and add that if not honoured within the given timeframe then you reserve the right to continue with your claim.

Now im not sure if thats a totally correct way to approach it but i dont see it breaks Protocol.

Im sure that if it cant be done this way then one of the more knowledgeable in this area will correct me.

The Consumer Action Group needs help to cover its expenses.

You could help by making a money contribution to http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/paypal.php?go=donate

or by downloading our toolbar and using it to search the web instead of your normal search engine:- http://consumeractiongroup.co.uk/cag_plugin.php

Please help.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
