A firm selling call blocking devices has itself been fined for making unsolicited calls to those who have opted out of receiving them.

Cold Call Eliminations, based in Chichester, made calls to the elderly, including cancer sufferers. One was said to have been left "badly shaken".

They were registered on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), so should have been exempt from such calls.

The company, which has been fined £75,000, refused to comment.

Cold Call Elimination seems to be run by LEAH KIMBERLEY MASTERS - who I am sure is a very nice lady. I wonder how such a nice lady got mixed up with such a horrible dishonest company

Hmmm - I think that dear Leah Kimberley Masters may have asserted her "right to be forgotten" with Google

Gold £84.99 Up to 70% of calls blocked.

Platinum £129.99 Up to 100% of calls blocked.

Now if we look at the broadband model, something that has been very controversial is the 'Up to'.

So if just one call is blocked, that is 'up to', as long as a call is blocked the worthless claim is said to be valid.

How do they differential, you either block calls or you don't, simple.
