Hi guys,

I'm after a bit of advise on behalf of my missus, regarding a CCJ letter she received today for £300 ( £385 with court fees ).

The letter looks official, it has the court crest in the corner and bottom left has N1SDT.

The original debt was with vanguis bank for a credit card.

The thing is my missus doesn't work,

the only income she receives is personnel independence payments for a severe mental illness of around £300 every four weeks.

I m the main earner in the household of me my missus and our two young daughters. We are not married though.

I'm just unsure as where she stands as she only gets her more for her illness.

Would I be liable to be financially involved as we live together?

Just worried about the courts applying for funds through my work or something.

Many thanks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Sorry I may sound dumb but what's this?? As I said this is my missus debt, I'm unsure of all the formalities as the debt is hers. I'll try and find as much info as possible in order to fill out the link but it may take me a while.

Yes we have the claim form from the courts. I will post the info on here once I have it. I'll try get it all together by the weekend, as I'm on 12hr shifts at the moment, so I don't have a lot of time outside of work until the weekend. Do I put the info on here as a reply?

yea sure

goto that link and copy it to a msg box here

and then answer the questions.

I wouldn't be delaying things too long mind in terms of the claim itself.

it would pay you to ack the claim NOW on the MCOL website

simply go there

create a new individual user.

note the long number given .

then log in to MCOL

and click respond to a claim.

then using the required info from that blue claimform

ack the claim

defend all

leave juris unticked then exit mcol.

that gets the claim ack'd.

you ideally should be getting two letters running ASAP too.

1 a CCA request

the other a CPR 31:14 to carter which is in the legal section of the library

do not sign anything
