  • 2 weeks later...

I've recently received the same letter from Motormouth, however when I called them they genuinely tried to help and I ended up with a decent discount to pay, so not all bad!! My understanding is as a purchaser once they purchase the debt they have the same legal powers as the original creditor as the contract passes to them! My advice give them a ring and negotiate a discount if you want to pay it! The ostrich approach doesn't help anyone!

yes ofcourse you did

you blindly paid a debt because you got a discount on it

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Neither does acknowledging the debt and being stung for unlawful charges.

From what i have read on this forum and others Motormile treat people and their personal data with contempt. To be honest i would not trust them as far as i could throw them. Respect is earned, and Motormile is the lowest of the low in the debt collecting industry. Just google besides my own personal view.
