Help with champion soccer demands

hi. i've read the various threads on champion soccer threatening letters, including one where they did go through with their threat with county court judgement. however, in my case, i have not actually signed the application form, although it is otherwise all filled out including the 'print name' and 'date'. where do i stand with the £142 they insist that i owe them and the threat of court action?

If the application is determined by the contract offered on the form then they are basically telling lies to get money from you. If they consider the form a memorandum of agreement then it may be that a contract has been formed but I cannot see why they have been caused a loss of £142 as you clearly havent enjoyed anything offered by them at this stage. Then there is the matter of unfair contracts which is covered by a couple of pieces of legislation so I wouldnt be worrying about their threats too much. They should be the ones who are worried by their own actions falling into the Fraud Act 2006 Perhaps you should let them know that this is the direction you are going to go if they persist.
