Hi. I have suddenly started to get someone elses mail at my address. On the mail the address is my address but the person named, I have never heard of.

My wife has refused two parcels and today I have a letter for this person.

My neighbour has confirmed that it is not a previous tenant as he has lived next door for almost 30 years. I have only lived here 6 years.

I feel very suspicious about this. Any comments or advice appreciated. thanks.

Paul

Hi. I have suddenly started to get someone elses mail at my address. On the mail the address is my address but the person named, I have never heard of.

Royal Mail are obligated to deliver mail to the address given on the package or letter. One possibility is that the sender has a mistyped house number on their system. Is there anyone on your road of the same name ?

If the letters/packages originate from the same sender, marking them as "Return to Sender" will soon flag up an error on their system.

Then just continue to refuse packages that need signing for and return all other mail to sender.. with addressee unknown, printed on the envelope.
