Hey guys, little bit of advice would be great,

I have not banked with co op for around 5 years

they have teamed up with link financial to try and get £97 pounds from me, for charges to my old account,

there was not any money in my bank account to make a payment to another company

so Co op are now 5 years later trying to get it back,

plus they sent the letter to my mums address which I have not lived at for nearly around 5 years,

should I just ignore it?

I would suspect co-op have sold the debt

hence plink are now trying to fleece you.

go check your credit file?

does the debt show?

I bet it shows plink as the owner not the co-op.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

who do link say is their client.

co-op don't farm debts to link

usually the only way link will have this is if its been sold on.

anyway, yes its a phishing letter.

strange its been sent to your mums

I take it your correct address is on your credit file?

co-op cant be links client if its been sold.

so it says co-op on the cra file and on links letter

so its not been sold

so plink can do nothing.
