Hello there Ifinally cleaned up my credit file after years of abuse it suffered 3 years ago and was very happy. Anyway had my flat surveyed in April this year as i was changing morgages and i honestly completely forgot about the £170 bill i do remember getting a reminder but then i get a small claims court summons through terrified i immediately sent it back signed etc and said i would pay it in 2 installments i never heard from them again until last week so i paid half then said i would pay the other half this month.

Its now on my credit file and i stupidly never thought it would be as it was a small claim (sorry i know i am thick) now i have heard i shouldn't have sent it back as that was me admitting it.

Please does anyone know of anyway i could try to get this removed i am gutted!

sorry for babbling

As you have already admitted the debt the only way to get a CCJ removed is with the permission of the person / organisation that took you to court.

Is the debt paid?

If so then I suggest writing to the creditor with a very nice letter asking if they would consider accepting removal of the CCJ from your records. If they agree in writing then you need to submit this to the court with a £35 fee and it will be struck from your record.

Hi Kath I have just today left the court having a CCJ set aside for £3100.

Can I just ask did you receive a court summons from the court telling you about the hearing for this?

I knowyou said that you had a letter from ?? asking about repayment, thats not what Im asking Its important.

Thanks
