I am having problems with Apex ,well I assume it is Apex.

My mother has Alzheimer's disease and is in a care home .

I sorted all her credit cards out some were written off and some accepted a small payment to close the accounts as she did not have much money.

I am now getting letters addressed to her sent to my home address (she has never lived here)

I keep returning them unopened but still they keep arriving once a week .

Where do I stand with this as I am getting fed up of the harassment ?

I feel like writing to them and giving them the address of her care home.

I mean she does not recognise any of her children now so they have no chance of getting any sense from her regarding finances !!

The problem is if I write then they will start pestering me then !

The letters are sent from Mailing Services Cardrew Way a google search brings up Apex .

I have not opened any letters as they state that they are private and confidentiallink3.gif and only to Addressee only

If you are dealing with your Mother's affairs, then you are perfectly entitled to open her mail.

I think you perhaps should do this, then write to the CEO of the company at their Head/Registered office - tell them that your Mother is suffering from Alzheimers and is in a care home. That in any case she has never lived at your address. That they must stop with the letters and remove your address from their records.

If they refuse and the letters continue to be sent to you. Then it might be worth making a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.

Thanks for the information . I think I will wait for the next letter then reply .I was just worried that they would start harassing me if I gave them my name and address.

Normally, Id say yes to it... However...You are not the debtor and I think you should email the MD of Cabot as above to get them off your back once and for all... Regardless of the POA situation.

Tell them the situation and advise them that continued persistance will result in legal action.

They WILL back down, take it from experience.

Give yourself the peace in the long run. Plus they wont get any results.

We could do with some help from you.
