I have received a letter and a few unanswered calls from rossendales chasing tax credits overpayments.

This tax credit alleged debt has been in dispute ever since around 2011 its been chased by akinika , fredrickson, and now rossendales.

I have looped in my local MPs office.

HMRC tax credits dept. won't listen .

Any ideas?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

ignore them

never pay a DCA on a Gov't debt.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

it was an error from self employment submission and I am still trying to get that sorted out .

I had a negative number for profit so thus I don't owe anything.

I unfortunately can't get hmrc self assessment yet to agree but it will sort out in the end .

In the mean time I have to deal with various DCAs to dispute overpayments.

Well as long as you're happy dealing with the lethargic HMRC and their archaic procedures, as DX says,

the DCA's can do bugger all!

Continue to use HMRC's complaints process and ignore the petty tin pot DCA.
