Hi there,

Back in 2011/12 i got myself in a right mess with payday loans,

i think i must have had around 6/7 on the go

... Most of them are now paid off through payment plans i set up

however, there is still a mess to sort out with regards to Lowells/Lloyds that i would appreciate some help with? ...

Back in 2012 i couldn't afford to make the agreed payment on a loan i had with Wage Day Advance,

the repayment date came and i had no money in my bank to pay it,

my bank (at the time) Lloyds TSB provided me with an un-authorised O/D.

The debt was no longer with WDA but now i owed all the money to Lloyds.

For months i received letter after letter from Lloyds chasing this money...

i wrote back time and time again asking them why they gave me this Un-authorised O/D

only to be provided with a letter full of legal jargon that i didn't understand..

. i ignored it for months... years... (no excuses-irresponsible i know!)

I now have a company called Lowell's chasing me for this debt,

they bought it over from Lloyds in Oct 2014 and i have had paperwork confirming this from Lowell and Lloyds.

I have ignored all their letters that come through my door on a weekly basis

and i don't know where to start on getting a handle on this,

any help/advice would be much appreciated?

I have made a start i suppose by getting a credit report from noddle which shows;

Lowells Account balance- £1,323

Date of default- 11/01/12

first port of call would be an sar to Lloyds

get all the statements

and see how much of this debt is Penalties.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Yes, As DX says,

They are like flies, they can be swatted away.

Simple :) , ignore their empty threats.

SAR Lloyds. Will be interesting to see what they cough up.

We could do with some help from you.
