Hi there - this may well be a stupid question

but ive just been through my capitol one paperwork and I can see that a while ago I sent them a CCA request.

What they sent back just appears to be ?T&C's

- and a copy of the signed application form which has a tick in the 'NO' box.

Ive looked through the statements and Im just wanting to double check that if they have included/charged me for PPI

i presume it will say on the monthly statement and so If there is nothing on there relating to PPI that means i dont have it.

Just want to be sure!

Cheers!

Hello! I sent capitol one an SAR request, I put a cross through my signature - was that the right thing to do? They have replied saying that cannot process the request unless i send them a copy of a current driving lic or passport showing my signature- thought i better check before I went ahead and did this!

Thank you :)

For a SAR the is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to mask your signature, so if you want the data you will have to provide the proof required.

Hello, I had a letter from Capitol one recently "statement of ACTIVITY"

Stating the following;

Opening Balance £942.75

PPi 8% Interest paid in £142.48

PPi interest refund pain in£242.71

PPi refund pain in £343.05

Closing balance £243.00

I know theres been an awful lot of stuff going on with PPi, I had no idea this account had ppi on it, but was just wondering if someone could have a look at this and see if all looks in order! Have they just done the right honourable thing?!

Many thanks caggers!

no idea without all the statements to check them.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If you are unsure if they have refunded correctly, you can ask them for a full breakdown of the claim.

Alternatively, you would need to obtain all your statements by way of a Subject Access Request (this would cost you £10.00 and take 40 days to provide) and then reconstruct the account yourself using one of CAG's spread sheets.
