Hello, I'm a new user and would be grateful of any pointers with this.

I have recently been receiving cards through my door from a company

Called aps?

I'm not expecting any deliveries and they won't leave the 'parcel'

With anybody else.

Is this some sort of bailiff? Has anybody had similar experiences?

Thanks

Not really other than they have called 3 times in last week putting a card through door which

Looks like the type a courier leaves if you miss a parcel delivery.

The cards never have any of the sections filled in ie name etc

And just have a tick in box where it says call to rearrange delivery with an. 0345 number. Whenever I call it just rings and

I never get an answer....

Thanks for that. Just had a quick read through there.

So they are not a courier then...

Do theses work for the courts or are they just a debt collection agency?

I don't have any debts that are not being paid so confused...

Thanks for the reply though and the link referral

I think they are not allowed to do this. It does appear that they are a process server.

If you do not have any debts then I suggest you keep an eye on your credit file for a little while.

If they are who we think they are then they should have made contact by regular mail previously asking you to make contact with them.

I do yes. But I maintain payments to all my creditors.

If you are maintaining your payments, then I would wait until someone writes to you in the correct manner. Do not try telephoning the number on the card.

I've personally had these APS agents at my door on many occasions now. As have many other CAGgers (do a search on APS).

Their speel is the same "we have a delivery & only the named person can sign for it".

They are very persistent indeed, despite them being told Mr X doesn't reside at my address, they have paid over 7/8 visits now.

They try all manner of antics to try to catch you out, even as far as saying that on a previous visit they had spoken to Mr X & he was on his way.

Seriously!! Total utter codswallop.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every single minute of it!!

I do yes. But I maintain payments to all my creditors.

You maintain payments, but are you technically in arrears ? Has any company threatened bankruptcy ? Have you had any debts from a previous address, which were not resolved ?

If the card has your name on it, then it may be worth checking your credit record. With the new FCA rules, creditors should look to get CCJ's against you and only if they are not paid should they be looking at bankruptcy.

With process servers, after a few failed attempts, they should put the documents through the door. So you could wait for them to post the documents to you.

We could do with some help from you.

I believe they actually get a substantial amount of commission if they get a wet signature

which is why they are so persistant

I am technically in arrears as although I maintain payments some are by arrangement in default.

Thanks to everyone for the heads up and I will update once I have any further contact from these guys

You need to lodge a formal complaint about these parasites to the FCA regarding the now unlawful

practice they employ, pretending to be a delivery coy, under CONC rules they are not allowed to do this.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!
