    • opps mixed up MP with your local  councillor ...sorry..
    • forget bailiffs they can do nothing on a consumer credit debt covered by the consumer credit act. most certainly no right of forced entry nor clamping or seizing vehicles etc etc .    and it most certainly doesn't matter, even if someone did , which they didn't, contact them and said he's got money.   you've picked up some rather wild ideas on debts and CCJ's etc from some where which are totally incorrect and way off the rails of what really happens..   your next action is to goto your credit file and write down the 3 CCJ number. then on monday go ring northants bulk RECORD YOUR CALL. quote the three CCJ numbers and ask them for a copy of EACH judgement to be sent by email PDF. also ask them to either send copies of the 3 CLAIMFORMS TOO. or if they cant do that  get them to readout for each one: the address it was served too and the EXACT details of the Particulars of claim box    once you have those details comeback to this thread.   by the way who is the fleecing DCA that pulled these 3 stunts...lowell, cabot, Link, Intrum. hoist..?? who.
    • Hey London1971,   Thank you for your understanding. That's a great suggestion you've outlined and yes I will give it a go for sure. Thank you very much for that. I shall let you all know how it goes.   Walshy
    • or await until the disclosures stage .....
    • My apologies for posting in the wrong forum.   Yes you are correct. They were filed at my old address. Which wasn't the one the cards were taken out at.   I have good reason to suspect that somebody has contacted the debt companies and told them I have money I don't. That's added to my worry.   Can I ask how long it would take for the baliffs to come if they were and why you think it's unlikely?

    • I sent in the bailiffs to the BBC. They collected £350. It made me smile.

    • Hi @BankFodder
Sorry for only updating you now, but after your guidance with submitting the claim it was pretty straight forward and I didn't want to unnecessarily waste your time. Especially with this guide you wrote here, so many thanks for that
So I issued the claim on day 15 and they requested more time to respond.
They took until the last day to respond and denied the claim, unsurprisingly saying my contract was with Packlink and not with them.
I opted for mediation, and it played out very similarly to other people's experiences.
In the first call I outlined my case, and I referred to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 as the reason to why I do in fact have a contract with them.
In the second call the mediator came back with an offer of the full amount of the phone and postage £146.93, but not the court costs. I said I was not willing to accept this and the mediator came across as a bit irritated that I would not accept this and said I should be flexible. I insisted that the law was on my side and I was willing to take them to court. The mediator went back to Hermes with what I said.
In the third call the mediator said that they would offer the full amount. However, he said that Hermes still thought that I should have taken the case against Packlink instead, and that they would try to recover the court costs themselves from Packlink.
To be fair to them, if Packlink wasn't based in Spain I would've made the claim against them instead. But since they are overseas and the law lets me take action against Hermes directly, it's the best way of trying to recover the money.
So this is a great win. Thank you so much for your help and all of the resources available on this site. It has helped me so much especially as someone who does not know anything about making money claims.
Many thanks, stay safe and have a good Christmas!

I'm trying to used the scottishpower book a call back, and i keep getting "Sorry, the timeslot you have requested is unavailable, please select another time"

I have been trying for the last few weeks to organise a call back, using the online message system also and still no call back from scottishpower.

What can i do?

I think that you need to start off by telling us what the problem is and what you're trying to achieve. Then maybe we can suggest another way rather than using ScottishPower's under resourced and disinterested system

Sorry for late reply.

They have messed up my billing.

When i first joined ScottishPower my contract was dual fuel, it then came to the end,

ScottishPower had taken it upon themselves not to contact me and tell me my contract had come to an end.

ScottishPower dicied to put me on another contract this time single gas and electric instead of dual fuel.

There were no gas and electric readings,

now i have one bill for electric and no gas and they want a lump some without proper readings.

I have tried my best to speak to a ScottishPower manager to try and sort this out.

But what can i do when ScottishPower's online call back system is out of order

and i have to use the online contact email system which they don't answer my request to speak to someone.

They still keep emailing me a bill yet they can't speak to me. I have wrote several letters/emails and no reply.

Please, any advice would be great.

First of all get ready for the long haul. When these things go wrong, they go badly wrong and the longer it goes on the more difficult it becomes to sorted out.

Well done on starting to put things in writing already. This is very important. You need a paper trail.

Also, keep a very detailed log of everything that happens. All the attempts you make to phone them. The times dates telephone numbers you used et cetera. I suggest that you keep some kind of exercise book near the phone so that you can keep it up-to-date easily.

You've given us a rough idea of what has happened – but you haven't really laid out in a chronological, structured and bullet pointed form.

We have no idea of how long this is been going on for.

I suggest that you tell us a story – starting from the top and also tell us about the effect that it is having on you.
