My employer has changed the system to make it harder for people to stay off work.

40 points - level 1 warning

12 points - level 2 warning

12 points -level 3 warning with dismissal at companies discretion

i went from a couple of points to a level 3 warning after my mother died and my father was ill with depression. HR decided to withdraw support for any days i needed to take my dad to hospital (he was collapsing due to panic attacks and breaking bones) i am 1 month away from being clear of an 18 month warning but have been told i will be monitored for 3 more months. If i fall onto the sick during this 3 months i will be put on a level 3 warning again. I have no intention of going on sick leave but i find this hard to understand. IS THIS LEGAL is my question.

I think your dad's needs should be dependants leave or compassionate leave (or you taking holiday) as you were not actually ill - have you discussed any of those options with HR?

Never assume anyone on the internet is who they say they are. Only rely on advice from insured professionals you have paid for!
