I am hoping someone can give me some advise please

I have recently been diagnosed with depression and anxiety attacks by my doctor, I rang my employer and informed them straight away, the thing is my director is constantly calling me every day and asking me work related issues which is not helping me at all, also after about 6 days on the sick he rang and said they needed my company vehicle, then just 2 days rang and asked for the company laptop back, all this is making me feel worse, I am not feeling like going back there ever again, are they allowed to do all of this, not once has he rang asked about my well being, can anybody help me with this ??

Company has to carry on & the vehicle probably needed for a relief worker, and company laptop (their property) no doubt contains information needed for the company to continue with business, or has the info they keep ringing you for, cannot see unreasonableness on this issue.

You are off on the sick (hope you recover soon) but business is business , and other peoples livelihood would be at stake if all stopped because staff are ill.

Do you see what I mean? Just my thoughts as I been near that problem in the past decades ago, be honest I even lost my job thru it.

Now you have returned the company vehicle and laptop I would say that they have no reason to telephone you.

IMHO, this is unacceptable. had you died, then they would have had to get on with things !

Do you have call barring on your phone ? If so, bar the number until you are feeling better.

I concur. Arranging for equipment is reasonable due to needs of the business.

However phone calls after asking for work related info is not acceptable.

How long have you worked for the company?

hi

I do understand the laptop and returning the car I have no problems with really, however the telephone calls regarding work issues and lack of compassion I cant get my head around really as I said the calls are making me feel very ill, I have been with this company two years

Over 2 years is good.

You could write a letter explaining how the calls are making your conditions worse. Explain you are willing to phone him once a week to keep them updated on your progress.

Think that would be reasonable. Send recorded delivery

You may feel different after the medication kicks in. Don't make any decisions until it does!

and remember, the medication may take a few days to have a good effect on you> It wont be like paracetamol where it works in half an hour.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Let the meds do their work. Then decide what you want to do. Not the other way round; been there, have regrets.

Give it a while.
