NIP use mobile phone whilst driving

Help and advice please.

 

I have just been stopped this morning for using my phone whilst driving, not making a call or texting but holding the phone to look at the time. Hand up my bad. I've been given the ticket of the offence but now here's where I need help.

 

Right at the bottom it says drivers signature am I right to assume that means me? Or the driver of the police car. Reason I ask is because I have not signed the NIP the police officer has.

 

Help advice needed.

Stopped by police today and issued with a traffic offence report for use mobile phone whilst driving. Now at the bottom of the form it says drivers signature. Is that for me to sign or the police, because I've not signed it the police officer did.

He has signed in the offences under consideration.

 

But where it's says "Drivers Signature" he's signed it again....

Mmmmm. can't quite understand why you were booked for just holding the phone. Did you not get the cop to check phone for messages / calls etc??

No he didn't look at the phone. Took my number and who I were with and said they would check my records
