Hi all again,

After I started taking steps to claim back my littlewoods charges, my friend wanted to do the same. I told him to get a SAR off and take it from there.

His SAR came two days ago, I told him what people told me on how to look for the charges. After adding all the charges up he found he had been charges £384 from 2010 to late 2014.

I gave him the website for converting interest rate into compound interest and he found as high as 6.000 for his interest on the SAR so when he converted that the website said annual rate (when compounded) was 103.51%!

So when he put that into the CISheet it said littlewoods owed him £3,433.35 in interest so with the charges that £3,817.35!

Now can he claim that? I know the math may be right, but something tells me the court won't be happy with such a high compound interest rate.

Thanks

Andrew

urm..

if you mean the stozing site I gave you

put the highest monthly rate in and convert that to APR

then use that in the CISHEET cell d15.

don't forget each charge must be on its own line

you DONT compound any int before you enter it in cell d15

Hi dx,

I thought I had done it right, was just shocked at the APR. I'll upload the spreadsheet just to make sure I've not missed anything and done it wrong.

Thanks

I thought the 6.1 was bad when he showed me the littlewoods statements, because mine was only 2.7, but on his it just kept going up from 1.0 then 2.7 to 4.8 and so on until 6.1. Then it started going down again.

Should I just put the same interest rate as mine, or should I upload the statements for you to see dx? because the 6.1 is in the same place as the interest was on my littlewoods statements

Thanks

Here is the updated spreadsheet dx. It now says he owed £1,783.02 in compound interest, so with the charges it adds up to £2,167.02.

Is there anyway I could do this for him if it goes to court? Because I want him to get the money, because it will help him a lot when his job term is finished. But he doesn't want to go court.

I've had a look around the site and read that it's a letter of authority or something, were you say I give person name and address authority to act on my behalf. Is there any templates I could use and does it need to go in the PreLBA letter or another letter?

Thanks
