why ring them?

Did you read the FAQ's?

You have to follow that or they wont think you know what your doing unfortunatly!

Its probabally hell of alot more stressful ringing them all the time too!

look at the library and print off the appriopriate letter and get the ball rolling that way!

Good luck!

Do you know the charges you want refunding? If not send the DPA letter asking for a list.

If you do then send prelim letter giving 14 days to pay up...

Hi Mo,

It really does take a few days to get your head around all the arguments and all the information.

You will be setting a timetable (the timetable that the bank says it will work to is irrelevant). In the FAQ you will find 'first steps.' Start this, be clear on what your first step is (requesting the info from the bank so that you can calculate what they owe you)

Whilst waiting for the info, read up on your next step. If you make sure you stick to your own thread in the relevant area (eg [username] claim against [bank]), and use this as a sort of diary which you can update as things progress. It will also enable you to check responses to your questions, and people will be able to find your thread a lot easier.

Good luck.

You are here, you want your money back, you will get help and support in this, but it is YOUR call, and you must be prepared to put in the effort.

i must be doin something wrong, keep ringing them, but keep getting same reply, terms and condions,so not a penalty,so no refund

Well, they would say that, wouldn't they?

They're lying to you. Or rather, they're telling you untruths. Yes, it's in their T&Cs. But it's still a penalty.

You are doing something wrong, you're phoning them and asking.

What you need to do is WRITE to them and DEMAND. 1st letter, ask nicely but firmly, give them 14 days. 2nd letter, ask even more firmly, give them 7 (or 14, some do, I don't) days or you'll take them to court. On the 8th or 15th day, issue court claim. At one point or another, they'll start taking you seriously.

Start taking control. At the moment, you're still letting them run rings round you. Time to set some deadlines. Yours.

Whats the worst that can happen?

Its all empty threats. Just words. They are wrong and they are using threats because they know they are wrong!

You will have to fight or lay down and let them walk all over you im afraid!

Good luck

no i dont were will i find that letter

Hi Mo,

Wouldn't normally post these links, but will do so now. However, you MUST MUST read ALL the information on these two pages BEFORE sending the letters out. It is vitally important that you FULLY understand what you are doing, as your claim could end up in court, and you may need to answer your case before a judge.

Good luck.
