Hi,

 

 

Ordered a sim only off these guys, had it delivered via mail order with 14 day coolant off period.

 

 

When received I had no signal so notified them straight away and was advised to dispose of the sim and they would cancel the account.

 

 

They have now registered a default for £43 on my credit file, there call centre is outsourced so have no direct contact surely this is unjustified as no service was ever provided.

Have Vodafone ever attempted to debit either your Card or bank account by Direct Debit any payment?

Lee got in touch yesterday.

 

Could not locate telephone call confirming cancellation. (typical)

 

Confirmed account was never activated or used.

 

Promised a follow up call today still nothing.

 

I have a default for an unjustified debt. £43 default, detrimental affect been brought up when applying for credit.

 

Totally unfair.

Hi xxx,

 

Further to our conversation last week, I'm just coming back to you as promised.

 

Although we have no record of either your cancellation request or the SIM card being returned to us, we've taken to credit the account balance of £43.70 (inc. VAT) as a goodwill gesture.

 

We've also taken action to delete the account from your credit file. Please allow two working days for this amendment to show with the credit reference agencies.

 

As this is the first opportunity we've had to look into your query, we'll be able to reimburse you for any costs you may have incurred.
