I have a loan with Satsuma loans for £300. They are a part of provident

I wish to say that "Hats Off" to Satsuma

Through no fault of my own I ended up on ESA Benefit and could not make the repayments. I phoned them up and they could not do enough to help. Absolutely no charges whatsoever, I am paying them back though expensive at £10.00 a week, but just about finished now. Guaranteed no default status with the credit reference agencies and up do date credit markers with the credit agencies.

In this case it was good to talk for both the creditor and borrower

Satsuma are very good, however i am in the process of setting up a payment plan and they will not provide me with their bank details to make payment and only want me to set up a cpa. This i will not do. I have informed them that there is no reason why they shouldn't give me their bank details. Lets see what happens.

Hi loulourocks

Did you ever manage to get their bank details? I'm just about in the same boat. I told them that I am closing my bank down and asked for bank details. They just said they don't have the facility. They asked me to send cheque or postal order. Didn't want to send a cheque because it has my bank details on and didn't want to send postal order because it'll cost me. I've ending up saying that I'll be paying via a pay as you go card which remains empty until I need to buy something. I confirmed that no cpa is to be set up and I would pay manually. I had a pound on the card and told them to see if it will be accepted. They informed me that it went through but my card suggests that it hasn't. All my other lenders have supplied bank account details, not Satsuma. If you tell me they do then I'll get back on to them. They also didn't like responding in writing, so I've recorded every phone call and let them know at the start of every call.

What i will say is that satsuma had my Bank card details as to the continuous payment authority

It was agreed i pay back £10.00 a week. It was a struggle and it was paid off

Not once did i have any issue with satsuma, they kept to the agreement and only £10.00 came out each week.

Satsuma are not some ****** Payday loan company as they do not even impose any charges on you. I was with them for over a year and not once did i have any reason to complain. I would say it is perfectly safe to give them your card details as they will abide by any agreement made

Work with them and they will not default you with the credit agencies

Thanks for the quick reply capquest worst knightmare. That's nice to know, although I still detest CPA's. It only takes one of the lenders to not stick to the arrangement and it would leave nothing for the others.

When I told them that I had only a bank account with a Cash card and that I couldn't make card payments, they gave me their account number. I used my Satsuma number as reference (8000000******). Account number 20577081 Sort code 20-11-81.

Of course they like your card details because they then have more control over your payment.
