been accepted for a Barclaycard 0% interest. a bit new to this. i cant find anything to say that if you havent cleared it by the end of the 0% period. interest is back dated to the date of balance transfer

 

is this true

That's a new one on me, but you would need to check the small print of your agreement to confirm this. Alternatively phone BC to check.

Hi Queens,

 

You need to check the T&C's carefully but my understanding is that :-

 

1. You pay zero interest on the transferred balance during the int't free period, AS LONG AS you make all required minimum payments by the due dates.

 

2. When the int't free period is over, you would start paying interest on a current basis but NOT back-dated to the transfer date.

 

Also, you say that you "cant find anything to say that if you haven't cleared it by the end of the 0% period. interest is back dated to the date of balance transfer."

 

Maybe that's because int't is NOT back-dated in that way.
