Is my 73 year old father entitled to anything??

Hi all, I just have a question. My father is 73, retired, owns his own home and is a widower. He has a reasonable pension but would he be entitled to a council tax rebate as it is only himself and my younger unemployed brother that live in the family home? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

if he is currently paying the full CT charge, he may be eligibe for 25% reduction - he should contact LA and ask about claiming an "alternative maximum council tax reduction" - it used to be commonly called a second adult rebate
