Digital Financial Services are linked to Speedcredit, a payday lender,

and the owners have connections to companies that had their consumer credit licences revoked.

These emails have been seen before and may be phishing;

we aren't aware of any court claims being issued.

In any case, if you haven't taken out a payday loan, and there's nothing on your credit record, ignore unless you get a court claim

, in which case come back for advice.

I might have taken one out with them but it would have been summer 2012,

tried a few back then but theres nothing on my Experian

-the only ones there are 3 for MEM

-2 settled 1 default being paid up and

1 for motormile being collected by lucas which is being slowly paid.

If I did go near speed credit it was nowhere near what they want.

I havent recieved emails/ calls that they claim,

no acknowledgement of ownership or any paperwork

-just this today.

Another concern I have is my job working with sensitive personal financial documents,

I'm just about to be taken on permanent and anything like a CCJ and definately bankruptcy would cost me

-someone lost a job over a default,

another nearly didnt get in because of a missed mobile contract payment

and I nearly lost my job before ( going back to same company)

because I was in a Scottish trust deed which was mis-reported as bankrupt but got cleared up.

after 14 months out of work and a year working my way to earning a job back

I dont want to be on the scrapheap again.

You're worrying over nothing. Like you said, it's spam junk mail, personally I'd send it off to the financial conduct authority and file a complaint. They won't go anywhere near a courtroom, it's a balance that's made up of nothing more than unenforceable charges, no judge would entertain these bunch of fools.

Wont stop them trying if they think they have a gullible person. personally i would notify the FCA, as there is evidence that this company may as well be speedcredit as its ran by the same people.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

Agree. I did some research and it's amazing how similar everything is with both companies. How they're still licensed by the FCA is far beyond me. The more people who complain, the better. Their website and emails look like it was drafted by a 10 year old.

As long as the forms are filled correctly, the company directors dont have restrictions against them and the company can afford the fee, the FCA seems to allow anyone to get a credit licence to be a PDL.

Theyre only getting £1 a month (lucas/ mmf) -still 1420 months to go.

I am only paying as I need to wipe defaults from my file.

I have given myself till may/ june 2016 to pay off the 4 lowest of the 10 defaults on my file valued at £84 (should be paid by end of this year),

£270, £430 and £460

while saving for a deposit as I need to get a more reliable car for my work commute.

From the kitty I have everyone else gets a pound while the lowest value gets the balance.

Since I got that email there has been silence but the main concern was the potential job loss if they did do anything.

paying debts with a default make no difference whatsoever

a default is there for 6yrs

Even IF the debt is PAID OFF in full OR NOT

nothing can get them removed

unless you find something wrong with it.

all you are doing by paying now is extending to statute barred date all the time.

if MMF have one of your debts

99% its bogus

just go read about them here

they even have their own forum

they are that much of an issue
