Evening all ;)

Was wantin to pick your brains over an issue I have with Samsung.

I bought an american style fridge freezer in december of 2007,

which turned out to have dangerous manufacturing defects,

samsung sent out an engineer to rectify this.

When it was 3 and a half years old it packed in , with what turned out to be a design fault (featured on watchdog)

samsung replaced it.

The SAME fault has now occurred (3 years on) and samsung are adamant that this slightly newer model

does not have the same design fault and will not do anything.

I quoted SOGA to no avail.

This was a £1000 purchase,

I would expect the 1st one to still be going strong at this point not for the 2nd to have packed in too!!!

Any advice on next steps anyone?

Am I going to have to fork out? :mad2:

as Samsung provided the fridge

they are the retailer now

sso SOGA applies

however, you need to get an Eng report done on the fridge

proving the fault

is inherent.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi shelly

What's the model number?

Google the 'model number' fault's, see if it is inherent?

How did you pay for it originally? Credit Card?

seven years on from original purchase, so doubt you would get much back if they allow you some credit for a new machine. SOGA only relevant for 6 years.

any compensation would be less allowance for use to date.

Try and get what can, but bear this in mind.
