Hi Everyone,

My family and I would really appreciate any assistance/advice re the local council and bailiffs I think they've enlisted.

Feeling very demoralized, no matter which way I approach the local authority, the result is the same.

.. the continuation of their policies and my experience of complete helplessness.

Hope I can receive some guidance in this matter :|

Thanks for that speedy response citizenB.

In summary,

I'm disabled and have been,

am being hounded in what I consider to be unreasonable circumstances by the local authority.

I got so demoralized with meetings I initiated with them and "hoop jumping exercises" they asked me to partake in,

that I stopped communicating with them.

Earlier this week,

I went to the Motability vehicle I use,

only to find Marston stickers in the middle of the driver and passenger windows stating that

...'He, the bailiff, had done this (clamped the vehicle), because of an outstanding sum that had not been paid'.

Strange thing though, there wasn't a clamp on the vehicle so I was quite bemused.

The only thing that came to mind was that even though my Blue badge wasn't on the dashboard,

he,they(??) must have viewed the disabled tax disc and removed the clamp

but left the stickers informing me of his/their intended actions.

I have to say that this is mere presumption on my part, I do not know if that was the case.

I just can't fathom it, why else would they remove the clamp?

The most annoying aspect of this behavior... I hadn't received ANY correspondence whatsoever from Marston indicating their intended actions!

They just came out and tried to claim the vehicle.

Apologies if I've gone on a little more than should be necessary... I'm still seething.

The council sold on a presumed debt with no intention to address the root cause of initial PCN issuance,

a matter I've made them (council) acutely aware of.

When you're the little man, it appears you have no say or sway.

I feel like I've dodged a bullet whilst they've gone away to regroup,

but since the 21st Oct when this incident happened until today,

I've really been on edge.

Like many, I struggle with depression but I'm not sure I can attach my reticence to involve myself with them on that..

. I just feel worn out if I'm honest.

Thanks for the welcome :-D

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I believe that's the crux of it dx, as mentioned, I've not received any correspondence from Marston in respect of the issue outlined, so I'm unclear re the nature of their involvement.

Happy to do so dx. If you'll please be patient with me, I'm not home at present but when I get in, I'll have access to all the relevant paperwork which will enable me to give a more complete and accurate account of my circumstances. If I'm able to redact and post, I think the letters might be informative.

Thanks for offering your time and experience dx (...and citizenB), I'll post as soon as I'm able.

Well for sure they cant clamp or otherwise impound your Motability vehicle for a PCN. I will send out an S.O.S on your behalf to those who might be able to help further.

They might not pop in immediately... but you will receive help.. so try not to stress out :)
