Hi,

my daughter went to car craft lastnight.

She looked at a car she liked so decided to put her old car in for part ex,

she filled out all the papers for finance and

she was accepted

she brought the new car home last night.

When she told me she was paying £5,000 on top of the cars price which was £8,000

after a night thinking she realised it was a lot of money,

I said can you not cancel take the car back,

when she phoned carcraft this morning they said she could cancel the finance,

and try and get a bank loan for the amount of the car,

but there is no way she can take the car back,

is this right

is there no cooling off period

where she, can take the car back and get her old one back,

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Guest Carcraft Customer Service Manager

Hi Tammy45

Unfortunately we do not offer a returns policy, however, we do offer a 'no quibble' 7 day exchange, where your daughter can change the car for something cheaper if she wishes.

I see your daughter has already spoken with customer services, however if she wants to speak to them again to discuss a 7 day exchange, she can do so on 0800 923 9495 option 6.

Many thanks

Linzi

hi,

we have it sorted now,

carcraft must be taking the eyes out of people,

as we have been to the bank and got a loan for the amount of the car,

and all we are paying back is £700 interest,

your rates for a loan must be sky high.

.we wont be using carcraft again.

.as she only worked it out how much she was paying back when she got home,,

Good grief!! That is some difference indeed.

The APR must be staggering...

I'm glad you got it sorted by way of getting a bank loan.

One of my sons bought his car with a bank loan, as the finance £ he was quoted were quite high, but not as high as your Car crafts finance was!!

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every single minute of it!!

It's not just the APR though, they add on all sorts to the finance such as un needed rubbish super duper worthless warranty, GAP insurance, etc, all this is added to the amount you borrow.

They also advertise an unbeatable deal like a 3 month old car at 40% off new, then when you arrive they've 'just' sold that one but have 20 others for you to look at, none of which resemble the unbeatable deal: the hope being that they've got you on site and will take you prisoner until you buy.

The one at Chertsey was notorious for this, but no doubt they are all (allegedly!) the same.
