Hi there,

I was travelling with an invalid ticket and received a letter from TIL after 15 - 16 days of constant emailing them, I have received letter saying to pay a fine (as an alternative to court summon).

My questions are:

1. If I pay the fine will I have any criminal record on my name?

2. How can I find out if there is any criminal record and/ or written warning under my name?

Thanks!!

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Pleased to be able to help

An 'administrative disposal' allows the person reported for an offence to resolve the matter by paying the amount that is agreed with the company.

This will usually be the total of the fare that is disputed plus the costs that the rail company has incurred in dealing with it. If paid the matter is finished without need for issue of a summons to Court.

A record will then only remain on file with the company as a record that a warning has been given, but there is no other more formal record.

Only the Courts can issue 'fines' so the complete answer is that if an administrative disposal is agreed and paid, that is the end of the matter
