BBC apprentice started again last night and I have stopped watching. I find myself shouting at the TV, due to the rubbish they are saying. These are not normal people. They have been selected for having irritating personalities, capable of having an argument in an empty room.

And I think the programme makers stitch the people up, by making them try to navigate a very busy London, with each team having access to only two cars. They always split each team up, so they have four sub teams to film. Then they often make sure that the companies they do business with are as spread out as possible. The TV company often select the businesses the teams can deal with, as the TV company need to make sure it is a suitable business to deal with and they are happy to be filmed. So it is all a bit of a made up programme and not really what it presents itself to be.

Rant over. Not watching again.

We could do with some help from you.

It's always been annoying! dreadful programme. Why young people would want to be portrayed in such a way is beyond me - they obviously don't have the wit to realise they look complete plonkers

I think some want to become Z rated celebrities or get into the media world. Some already have successful businesses or say they have to get on the programme.

If that's the future business brains of this country it is a worry, the receptionist does well every week, she never buckles under the pressure, the ultimate star of the show.

You have to remember it has to be entertaining. Switch over to BBC2 after, much better, so funny.

I watched 15 minutes of the very first episode and have caught trailers whenever it is on.

Some of Sugar's comments appear to be very rude and demeaning, but in some instances seem quite warranted !

They pick them, based on them being morons. I would think that Alan Sugar at the start of the process looks through their CV's and business plans to work out who he would like at the end of the process. As long as they don't muck it up, they probably end up in the final. The business idea they have must be something viable to do with £250k, otherwise it is pretty pointless. Also it cannot be a a business that BBC or Alan Sugar would have an ethical/moral objection to.

Most of the candidates know right from the start that they have not got what it takes to be employed by Alan Sugar, so they have a go with a tactic of knowing full well that with a just a couple of performances that will get them not only noticed but remembered, they are guaranteed a cozy presenting job on an obscure satellite TV channel for a couple of years.

The men this year are awful and the women slightly better. I think I watched about 1 minute last night, before having to change channel.

Have you also noticed in most series, they have one or two really attractive girls and also a few men with six packs who don't mind taking their shirts off on camera. So they have picked some candidates purely on the basis that they may appeal to some viewers.

We could do with some help from you.

Stigman has a six pack, & it's going to go straight into a belly in which I have to breathe in in the shower to get my feet wet :-D
