Refund from Asda on PlayStation game?

I'm in the UK, specifically Scotland. Where do I stand here? Bought FIFA 15 for PS4 from Asda yesterday, and it's basically unplayable for me, I have a BT Home Hub and the game lags non stop, even in the menus. Apparently the only fix is to disable UPnP in your router settings.

 

On the basis it's not fit for purpose I took it back for a refund, but they refuse to do so, saying it's company policy to only offer exchange like for like on games. Surely this can't apply to faulty products??

If the game works fine on other routers:

did you specifically stipulate it must work with BT Home Hub?

 

If not, surely they will claim "the game is fine, the problem is with your router"

 

However, if you specified at/before purchase that it must work with the BT Home Hub & they said it does, then it becomes "not as described".

There is online info concerning lag with FIFA 15 on PS4 so seems to be the game itself and EA servers.

 

Problems with EA servers? Are we surprised?

After watching the sim city debacle I voved Id stay well cleer of EA Games
