hi

could someone direct me somewhere on here or advice me on what i should be looking for in a CCA once i have recieved it

tis an old Mbna debt from 2005 with Direct legal & collections, card taken out in 1999, i have tryed searching the forum, bit bit confussed.

Mine was a 1998 vintage MBNA that was unenforceable as they couldn't find one. There were some issues regarding MBNA agreements from this era but I cannot remember what they were, as I didn't really need to know. You best bet is that, if they send one, post it up (blank out name, address, account numbers etc that could identify you.) There are plenty of people on this site that can tell you the score on it. Also bear in mind that they can't go to court with a reconstructed agreement and T&C's from that period, it needs to be the original.

Older MBNA agreements have been subject to a lot of controversy.

 

They should contain prescribed terms, a notice advising of your cancellation rights and other important contractual information. If you are able to scan your document in, removing any personal information and convert to pdf format.. then post it up for us to have a look we can probably advise further.
