Just after a little help. My partner has just received a letter from the county court about an attachment of earnings hearing. It is Lowells that have instigated this. The issue I have is that we have no knowledge of any CCJ being issued. The letter was sent to our old address but the postman knew we had moved so brought it to us instead. We moved November last year so I am presuming all other correspondence went to the old address to.

So, how do we do a SD? I have no idea.

:)I am not an expert, but I can give good advice about Brighthouse:)

Am learning more and more about DCA's too :)

I have no legal experience and all advice given is based on the knowledge I've gained from this site.

Never mind...been to the court and got the form. Just don't know how we'll pay the court fee - but hey-ho.

You dont make a Statuary Declaration in response to an Attachment of Earnings clemma ...you need to find out what the judgement is and whether you have grounds to set a side.

And remember court fees can also sometimes be mitigated via the fees remission system *IF* you and your partner qualify for it

Yeah..we have to pay the full amount. We don't have £155 sitting around unfortunately. Will take months to save that. Hey ho.
