Hi,

I am new to 'forums' so please bear with me.

In July, Nationwide allowed transactions to go through which took me over my agreed overdraft limit by 30p.

I have now been charged two 'paid transaction fees' of £15 each.

I know £30 is not a large amount of money but it is huge compared to the 30p that I was over.

Is there anything I can do?

Hello and Welcome,

Phone your Bank and ask them to refund the charges, if this is the first time it's happened they will more than likely refund them.

Regards,

Scott.

Hello Scott,

Thanks so much for your advise. I have just called and the money will be back in my account by Monday.

Kind regards,

Nationwide will cancel charges on one occasion only - as I have found out last week, they refused to cancel £15.00 charge in respect of a £4.25 returned payment to a charity which has been requested too early, when complained the chap stated it is our policy no matter the amount, and I had a refund last year? No many years ago!

I stated would you like loosing a customer over a silly small amount who has been with your company for decades? it is our policy was the answer, so the fraud continues!!!!!!!!
