Hi.

I had a current account opened with Lloyds TSB in Scotland in July 2006.

It has been closed and made 'defaulted' in April 2009.

According to my credit file report from Equifax, the debt has been sold to Capquest.

I did ignore the correspondence from Capquest for a few years due to stress caused by loop of charges over charges I was torn in by Lloyds TSB.

In July 2013 I received a letter from Debt Managers (Services) Ltd in Edinburgh for the recovery of this debt.

As it felt to me getting too close to court action, I decided to start a payment plan.

Since July 2013 I am making payments every month to Debt Managers (Services) Ltd.

I intend to try and recover some of the charges included in this debt,

because I think they were unfair (several wages in a raw were 'swallowed' by bank to clear just a part of the charges over charges,

also giving me a kind of Agreed Overdraft to cover the rest of negative balance).

My first question is:

after I will receive a response to my SAR, to whom will I have to right a claim for charges repayment?

will it be Lloyds Bank or Capquest?

I am sure, I will have some more questions regarding to what charges I would try and claim to be repaid back.

Thank You all kindly for replying to this!

Hi. My first thread on this site.

I had a current account opened with Lloyds TSB in Scotland in July 2006.

As it felt to me getting too close to court action, I decided to start a payment plan.

So I actually do not fall into SB in my case any more (I only discovered the SB thing today by coming to this site from MSE).

Since July 2013 I am making payments every month to Debt Managers (Services) Ltd.

I intend to try and recover some of the charges included in this debt,

because I think they were unfair (several wages in a row were 'swallowed' by bank to clear just a part of the charges over charges,

also giving me a kind of Agreed overdraft to cover the rest of negative balance).

My first question is:

after I will receive a response to my SAR (what I sincerely hope),

whom will I have to right a claim for charges repayment?

will it be Lloyds Bank or Capquest?

I am sure, I will have some more questions regarding to what charges I would try and claim to be repaid back.

Thank You all kindly for replying to this!

oh dear why did you start paying debt managers!!

fell for the threat-o-grams.

yes get that sar off to Lloyds

pers i'd stop paying them

and tell them the debt is all PENALTY charges & OD interest

and yu will not be paying another penny.

let them goto court

then the truth will come out.

Wanted to be ready when they respond to my SAR.

Where will I have to send my claim since the bank is split now?

My account was with Lloyds TSB in Scotland.

Then it was passed on to Capquest for recovery in 2009, before the bank split.

First I went to TSB branch in Scotland where my account was opened,

they took my SAR letter to their headquarters,

I got a response advising me to send my SAR to DSAR Team in Andover.

Confused - will it be TSB or Lloyds Bank that can deal with my claim?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Your SAR claim will be dealt with at...

Lloyds Bank Plc

I'd think your claim would go to their registered office....

Couple of days after I sent my SAR letter to DSAR Team,

I received a response asking me to provide evidence of my new address.

I moved since I had an account with Lloyds TSB.

Now I wonder, if it will be satisfactory for them when I go to my local TSB branch for paper evidence copy approval.

I do not have any Lloyds Bank branch anywhere near me

(they asked in the letter to get my evidence approval at Lloyds Bank branch

or order my packet to a Lloyds Bank branch) only TSB ones.

Will try to find out tomorrow.

Also their phone number 0845 0707124 says

"The party You are trying to reach, is not available. Please, leave Your message".

I tried three times the number with no answer, and got charged to my phone bill 27p per attempt!

I could not find any normal landline number to DSAR Team.

Maybe someone knows alternative contact numbers?

Will the TSB branch ID evidence approval be ok for Lloyds Bank DSAR Team?

It was a BOS branch that certified my oh's identification as we had also changed address since the TSB card was taken out.

The landline number 0845 0707124 is the one on their DSAR Teams paperwork.

Only available Mon - Fri 8.30am - 4.30pm.
