I got an ECN in a multi storey car park in Lowestoft today. I had inadvertently parked slightly over the bay lines. Neither of my wheels were fully over the lines(see attached pics). Is this correct. I do not recall any signs saying that it was an offence to do this. The car park wasquite empty so I did not prevent anyone else from parking. Is it worth appealing the ticket. Also should the early payment discount be 50% of the full amount

Short and Sweet Citizen. Do you not think I could apply the football rule that if the ball is not fully over the line it is not a goal, therefore I was not parked outside of the bay? Any advice on how much I should pay.

appeal it, the parking adjudicator decided some time ago in a case against Lambeth Council that partially over the line is still within the parking space as the line forms part of the parking bay. Email a "soft" appeal saying that your vehicle was within the parking bay as the wheel was not outside the bay and that it has been considered that the lines form part of the bay so therfore the offence was not committed.

There is no adjudicator its an ECN! The only option is to appeal to the Council, if you fail to pay it its an offence dealt with at magistrates court.
